Taking a step forward hand in hand with nature
Funk climbing is being built with a vision of providing sustainable and environmentally friendly tools and skincare for the climbing and outdoor community. We think that climbing has gone too far down the road of plastic culture and want to make at least a small change in how people view climbing and training tools these days. For that reason we use natural materials and stay away from plastic.
Our Story
Funk climbing first started out with our incredible skincare brand Climber's Aid. The idea of a skincare balm for climbers has been floating around since around 2020, but considering that ClimbOn has been such a big force in the market back then, the idea remained just an idea. After ClimbOn was shockingly gone around 2023, the quest for building Climber's Aid has started to form into a concept of electric forest and finally in may of 2025 we successfully launched Climber's Aid - electric forest with incredible results and hundreds of happy climbers that use our skincare balm on a regular basis. Mid summer 2025 we rolled out our product across adventure stores and climbing gyms in Slovenia.
At around the same time new concepts of training tools and climbing supplies were already in the making and soon after Climber's Aid marched onto the market, we managed to release Funk Boards with the idea of keeping these as compact as possible, so our crimp blocks fit in every pocket and our boards can be placed even with little space available.
Furthermore we are currently adding hand carved vegan brushes and will add amazing climbing holds with innovative production techniques soon too.
We have been around for a short time only and have accomplished so much already which makes us very proud. There is much more to come and so many things and possibilities to be explored.
At Funk the passion for climbing is all that matters and that's what we're pouring into what we make.
